The first diptychs I ever encountered was when I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a child. My sisters and I were allowed to wander around by ourselves. I came upon early Christian diptychs and became fascinated by how they were made and how a story was being told. I didn't do anything with the notion of diptychs until now. I explore commonality and difference in images and meanings that in combination create something new together.
