On The Seventh Day, Movie Trailer (1 min.) On The Seventh Day, is about the the intersection of Hollywood movies and actors of the 1940's, the nature of sexual identity, and how a woman "rests" on the Sabbath to reach a deeper aspect of herself.
You Never Dine Alone, complete video You Never Dine Alone is a component of the installation by the same name. The installation is about food, association, memory and the range of experiences that are shared by most of us, when we dine with another person. Each of the eighteen or so "companions" shows aspects of themselves that collectively demonstrate the broad range of human expression that includes longing, anger, amusement and love.
I show it here, in full, with credits, although as part of the installation it was presented without title or credits, because the video characters function as a collective dining companion. In this video, I worked with non-actors, many of whom live in Lawrence, Kansas. (12 min.)
